Do I have to sign a 1-year lease for my storage unit?

No, you may rent your storage unit by the month and pay only for the number of months you need.

You must keep us updated as to your current address, phone number and email address.

Do you offer any long-term unit discounts?

Yes!  Pay for your storage unit 6 months in advance or more, and take a 5% discount.

Do I need insurance?

Tenant shall maintain an insurance policy in adequate amounts to properly insure all property stored in the storage unit.  Failure to carry such insurance is a breach of this agreement.  Tenant assumes all risk of loss to such property. You are solely responsible for items that you place in your storage unit. However, many homeowners and renters policies do cover storage units.

Check with your insurance agent to be certain.

We do our best to keep snow, water, and ice away from the buildings, but at times with a lot of snow and rain, we may get water in the units.

One of the best ways to prepare for potential water in the units and protect your items from water damage is to elevate your items off the floor.

In addition to elevating your items, you should also keep your most vulnerable items in air-tight plastic containers that will prevent any water from getting inside. All your clothes, paper documents, and any other items that can be damaged by water should be kept in plastic containers to protect from moisture.

Do I need a padlock?

Yes, you need to bring your own padlock. Please be sure it is a heavy-duty padlock with a thick hardened latch.

What is a roll-up door?

Roll-up doors are similar to a garage door. These roll up and down which allows for easier entry.

What type of vacate notice do you require?

Our tenants are required to provide notice of intent to vacate their unit 5 days prior to clearing out their storage unit.  There is no refund for a partial month's rent.  You will lose your deposit if we are not notified of you leaving.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash , money orders or checks.  There will be a fee for any returned check.

What type of documentation will you require?

In order to rent your storage unit from us, you will need to provide a valid government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport).   We require an alternate person - not living with you -  to contact in case we cannot reach you.

Is a deposit required?

Yes.  We require a deposit of $25.00.

What if I cannot make a payment?     Partial Payments are not accepted.

A late fee of $20.00 will be assessed on the 8th of the month, and we will place our lock on your unit on the 10th of the month - rent is due on the 1st.  Once you are paid up to date, we will remove our lock.  Various legal papers will be sent to you reminding you to pay your rent.

As early as 21 days of non-payment, the public sale process may begin, and you will be place into Collections.  Additional sale fees of up to $400.00 may be assessed to you.
